Had a fantastic trip with my mates, visiting Dartmoor National Park and the Abbey. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and the staff were friendly. Make sure to try the outdoor seating, just remember it can get a bit noisy from the road.

Cozy stay with fab staff!
We had a nice 3-night stay in a twin room. The staff were super friendly, especially Nicole at breakfast. The meals were delish, and the bar/lounge was chill. Just wish the traffic noise wasn't so loud at night, made it tough to sleep. it was a decent stay.

Charming, Charming, Charming
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beautifully modern decor that instantly made me feel at home. The breakfast was simply outstanding—think delicious options with no extra fees for those luxurious treats! And let me tell you, the strong water pressure in the shower was a game-changer after a long day of exploring—pure bliss!

Cozy bar offering a great selection of local ales creates an inviting atmosphere. The spacious twin room features strong water pressure in the shower, providing a refreshing experience after a long day.
The noise from the nearby main road interrupted what could have been restful nights, particularly for light sleepers. The decor across the hotel appears dated, with areas needing a serious refresh. I found the dining experience underwhelming, with some dishes lacking seasoning and portion sizes feeling meager for the price. Breakfast options varied in quality, with items occasionally served cold and not all meals meeting expectations.

would like to go back here again
The double room had a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and electric kettle. The shower was really powerful, which was great. Breakfast options included delicious pastries and freshly brewed coffee, with some gluten-free choices. The staff were super helpful, and the bar was cozy for hanging out. There was no noisy lift, but easy access from the car park to the room was a plus.

This place was just a fitting option for a passing visit in Buckfastleigh with reasonable value. The only staff member on duty was juggling multiple roles but he managed to provide excellent service on a busy night. If you're in a rush, consider grabbing food beforehand as the kitchen may be closed late.
